This is freaky and also mildly comforting, which, in a way, makes it even more freaky.

Love to you too!

I love that I finished my first project for my photo/graphics class and I liked it. I love that I did exactly what people advised and went to my professor’s office hours, talked her up for a bit, and feel confident that I am now on her good side.
Mostly I love that on the way to her office, I found a stairwell that has beautiful light at 3:30 p.m.
I love that I got addicted to Prison Break...

Beautiful music, beautiful man. Enjoy the pictures.
an ode to going back to bed when I can't.
There’s been a lack of love lists for the past couple of days. Whoops, New Year’s Resolution.
I’m just tired. I’m really tired. And I know that everyone around me at this paper is tired. And I know that most college students consider themselves “tired” (although, by God, it is hard to empathize with someone who complains about being tired after getting 9 hours...
I love helping people. It just puts me in a better mood knowing that I have brightened someone’s day: whether it’s grinning at a total stranger as they pass me and watching them light up a little, or helping someone work through a personal issue for two hours. I just like being helpful.
I love cheese. Seriously. Cheese.
I love that I might be writing a column about this very blog!...

…be a little pompous, I’m really glad that I am the kind of person that people feel comfortable opening up to.
With that being said, I love my mother. She has raised me in such a way that I am motivated, driven, and excited for my life, but at the same time, I’m not so intense that I ignore the fact that life happens and I don’t have control over it.
I know I’m not...
love, love, love
I love conversations that keep me up til 6 in the morning with good purpose. Thank you, W, I love you x a million.
I love Conan O’Brien. Really.
I LOVE Zachary Levi. Also really.
I love free music.
And I have recently found a new love, Dan Cummins. Hilarious.
Observations
I step off the bus and onto the icy pathway, ready to tread quickly and carefully on the way to the house.
I adjust my earphones to better hear the thumping beats of Kid Cudi’s “Up Up and Away”, attempting to match my feet with the beat.
Wake up, wake up, wake, wake up
Left, right, left, right, leftright
The obstacles of the path change from ice to the debris of last...

I like good music. This is good music performed in a moving vehicle…which makes it awesome and totally worthy of my love and respect.

- I love that there was not a dry eye at the end of “Promise of Joy” today at Moriah’s funeral. That’s the power of music.
- I love the song lyrics I’ve been hearing recently that have just been heart-poundingly moving. Lyrics that catch that spot in your throat, that make your pulse rise, that make you want to move.

Funny and sad commentary on culture using fairy-tale ladies.
Today is the day of Moriah’s funeral.
And while there are going to be many people who quietly comment to each other on how sad it was that she was just 19, or how hard the struggle she went through in trying to fight Hodgkin’s must have been, I’m probably going to sit there and cry while trying to lift my voice to God because I miss this girl so, so much.
and then I have...

things I love today (1.15.10)
Today, I love that I am me.
I’ve certainly had an interesting childhood. Not enough to make me unique among millions, but certainly a different one than the average teen. Has it been very difficult at times? Yes. Would I change that? No.
I ran into my fifth-grade ex today while at work. I have nothing against him, but it was interesting to see how much we’ve both changed, and how...

things i love today (1.14.10)
- I love mornings like this one where the sunset is such a perfect golden rose that even steam pollution is a pretty purple-blue hue. Mornings where the cold only just nips your nose and you can see your breath and everything smells fresh. Where I have enough time to drive slowly and find a new parking lot, one that leads me over a bridge by a creek and I have time enough to look and see the frost...

things I love today (1.13.10)
- I love that I’ve finally made a New Year’s resolution, and I love that it’s to make a list of things I love each day.
- I love it when I’m really myself (e.g. dancing while waiting for the computer to load, doing voices/lightsaber noises while swiping credit cards) while at work, and it makes someone laugh.
- I love the way I see things, like a camera is permanently...

Oh, you were being un-ironic?
Me: Your total is $211.99 for Microsoft Office.
Female customer: Oh...oh. That's much higher than I expected.
Me:
Female customer: My teacher told us we could get it for $60.
Me:
Female manager: Oh, you can go online to Microsoft and download one of the programs for $60, but the suite is $199.99.
Female customer: Oh, okay! So If I go to the Google, I can get it from there?

working in a bookstore...or how to treat cashiers
Working as a cashier in multiple locations during my four years of employment history has taught me a lot about people. Mostly about how easily dismissive people are, how easily frustrated people can get, and how impatient this society has made us.
Here are some tips to smooth out your next visit to a cash register:
SMILE. Seriously. It’s intimidating as hell to know that I have to...

Things I Love Today
I like the hunger pangs I get when I first start getting really hungry, but I love getting them just as I’m rounding the bend onto my home street and I know I can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in ten minutes.
I like talking to my sister on the phone, but I love making her laugh.
I like reading Newsweek, but I love finding weird and quirky articles that are completely irrelevant...
